My Work

I am deeply passionate about the outdoors, using my photography to inspire a deeper appreciation for nature and the vital need for conservation. Through my images, I aim to highlight the beauty and importance of protecting wildlands and their diverse inhabitants. My work focuses on the breathtaking landscapes and ecosystems of Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming, where I seek to motivate others to value and preserve these irreplaceable natural environments for future generations.

Backpacking and exploring the wilderness have always been a passion of mine, offering a deep connection to nature and the simplicity of life on the trail. There's nothing quite like the feeling of immersing yourself in untouched landscapes, moving through dense forests, along mountain ridges, or across high alpine meadows, with only the essentials on your back. The serenity and challenge of these adventures have been a lifelong draw for me.

My love for water runs just as deep, having always found a sense of peace and wonder near rivers, lakes, and streams. Recently, I’ve developed a new fascination with underwater photography, using it to document the native fish species that thrive in the freshwater ecosystems of the western United States. This has opened up a whole new world of exploration beneath the surface, allowing me to capture the beauty and fragility of aquatic life. Through these images, I hope to shed light on the importance of preserving these habitats and the species that depend on them, further fueling my commitment to conservation efforts in the region.

My photography is not only a tool for inspiring conservation but also a way to bring the beauty of wild places to those who may never have the opportunity to experience them firsthand. Many of the landscapes and ecosystems I document are remote, requiring long hikes and rugged conditions to access. I feel a deep responsibility to capture these environments in their purest form, sharing them with people who might not be able to make the journey themselves.

Through my images, I aim to transport viewers into the heart of these wilderness areas, allowing them to feel a connection to the natural world and understand why these places need protection. Whether it’s the vastness of a mountain range, the intricate details of a forest floor, or the vibrant life beneath a river’s surface, I want to give people the sense that they are part of something bigger, even if they can’t physically be there. By doing so, I hope to foster a shared sense of stewardship for our planet and encourage everyone to appreciate and support the preservation of these irreplaceable natural spaces.

My Passions

Why art and not photography. I do paint, not as much as I do photography but I have a passion for all thing visual. My painting are usually of wild animal with an abstract background. I work in both acrylic and watercolors.
